Storyline

From the executive producer of The Walking Dead and the executive producer of The X-Files, this anthology series brings to life Aaron Mahnke's "Lore" podcast and uncovers the real-life events that spawned our darkest nightmares. Blending dramatic scenes, animation, archive and narration, Lore reveals how our horror legends - such as vampires, werewolves and body snatchers - are rooted in truth.

What a mess
13 October 2017 | by See all my reviews

I wish I knew where to start. This was based off a podcast and they decided to keep the original narrator from the podcast. His amateurish voice works well in a Mysteries at the Museum type of way without quite the professionalism but if you're looking for horror? Complete miss. His tone is one of so much boredom that you wish you could silence him. But that would force you to watch the mediocre re-enactments.

Which I should mention are greatly juxtaposed to the poor speaking of the narrator. They don't add anything to the atmosphere, as there is no atmosphere.

I don't know what this show wanted to do. But it didn't do it.
